Hadyn Ingram DPhil, MPhil, PGCE, MSc, MHCIMA

Hadyn Ingram was brought up in London in his father’s West London pub. He studied hotel management at college and worked in a number of large hotels in London and Yorkshire. He returned to the family pub in 1977 and completed an MSc in hotel management at Oxford Brookes University in 1992, an MPhil at Surrey in 1998 and a doctorate with IMCA in 1997. With his wife Rowena, he bought a 14-bedroom hotel in Salisbury in 1992, which they still operate.

Hadyn held lecturing posts at the Universities of Bournemouth and Surrey, teaching operations, strategy and human resource management. He is Editor of the Worldwide Hospitality and Tourism Trends (WHATT) Journal and Books Editor for the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management. Hadyn enjoys writing and, to date, has written over 100 publications including books, book chapters, journal articles and conference papers. His current role is Professor, International Management Centres Association and Chairman, Clovelly Hotel Consultancy.

He has been involved with IMCA since 1996 as Tutor, Set Adviser and Director of Studies for a number of CMS, MBA and in-company courses. Teaching specialities include strategy and operations.
